Summer BBQ - Sizzling Super Time

The weather was very kind and those who came along had a fantastic time. Bangers and burgers went down a treat. Joyce played her cards for us, Carole gave us a brain teaser and Jim organised a kiss me quick raffle. The kids (and adults) enjoyed the various summer games. But best of all was the St Martin's family and friends all having another fab time together. Next time Tim. Not to wish this amazing summer away but we look forward to our next 'bash' in October.

WhatsApp & Facebook

If you've recently come along to our little church or in case you may have forgotten we have a very active whatsapp group. It's a great place to keep up with things and include anything you might like to add. Please see Carole for details. Dan has created a terrific FaceBook site - St Martin's Church Byker - for us. Take a look and get involved and post some likes. It's fantastic and we thank both Carole and Dan for their time.

Walk Like A Man - The Musical

Some of us will remember Stephen Lowes performing for us in our summer concert a few years back
and the brilliant stage show he has written, 'Walk Like A Man'. A few of us saw this funny, entertaining
performance in Gosforth and now it's back with some original songs and dance sequences. The plan is
to turn it into a full blown musical for 2026. Perhaps we could organise a church night out!

Our thanks and gratitude to Cath and Andrew for the beautiful votive candle stand they have presented to the church. It is a very generous gesture and a wonderful way to remember their daughter Stephanie.

Val Barron Talk - July 29th After the Service

Val recently gave an informative talk to the PCC about community organising which was well received. It was suggested that all of our congregation might like to hear what she had to say and has kindly agreed to come along and have a chat with us. Our thanks to her for offering her time.

Attention PCC Members!

Tim will need to have everyone in the PCC DBS checked. If you could bring your ID documentation to a Sunday service in July that would be great. Please see Tim if you need clarification.
