Val Barron Talk - July 29th After the Service

Attention PCC Members!

Tim will need to have everyone in the PCC DBS checked. If you could bring your ID documentation to a Sunday service in July that would be great. Please see Tim if you need clarification.

VE Day 80th Anniversary Concert

The weather could not have been kinder to us last Sunday. The church looked maginficent decked out in red, white and blue, WW2 posters, flags and bunting. Many thanks to all who helped over the weekend to put it all up and take it all down. Huge thanks to our amazing director of music Andrew and the choir for their hard work and of course the fabulous Darling Dollies.

Thanks to Jim and Alice for organising the raffle and prizes and Christine and Joyce for helping on the night. Thanks also to Alan & Doris on the door and Carole and Jo, Judith and everyone who helped serve refreshments. Trevor was once more our MC and we thank him along with Rev’d Tim for the opening and closing prayers. Linda once more persuaded Harrisons to print our wonderful programmes and we very much thank them and appreciate all they do for us.

At this point we don’t know the final total amount we made but looking at ticket sales and what Jim calculated for the raffle we were over £1000.

Not bad for a little church in Byker. Well done everyone.
